The first National Project Steering Committee (NPSC) Meeting after the launch of the project was held on 21 July 2017. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. T. Mohapatra, Secretary, DARE & DG, ICAR.
Dr. NK Krishna Kumar, Country Representative, Bioversity International welcomed the Chair and other invitees and briefed the house on project execution plan.
Overview of the project and brief update on Inception Workshop outputs was provided by Dr J C Rana, NBPGR, New Delhi.
Dr Marieta Sakalian, UN Environment-GEF Representative led the review and adoption of Full Size Project NPSC Terms of Reference (ToR) and agreement on Full Size Project NPSC membership and chair.
The meeting ended with remarks by the Chairman, Dr. T. Mohapatra and vote of thanks by Dr J C Rana from NBPGR.
